We’re celebrating Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann coming to Belfast for the first time with free Fleadh Fringe creative workshops in our Community Hub.
Every day from Tuesday 4 to Saturday 8 August the Gallery’s Engagement Team is hosting drop-in activities and bookable hands-on workshops exploring music, tradition, storytelling, and creativity for all ages.
Translate the rhythm and tempo of music by local artists onto a giant collaborative canvas in Draw and Score.
Capture your Fleadh memories in Share Your Story by illustrating a personalised pop-up book cover inspired by the festival’s sights and sounds.
Craft a wearable keepsake in a Clay Badge Decorating workshop, reflecting the craftsmanship of traditional instruments.
Or honour Belfast’s maritime heritage by designing and decorating your own nautical pennant.
Explore a dazzling array of archives, drawings, manifestos, paintings, performance, photographs, sculptures, video works and writings reverberating with punk attitude, poise and revolutionary power in our exhibition The Ignorant Art School: Outside the Circle x Belfast.
Join us for Late Night Art Belfast on Thursday 6th August and enjoy a free glass of wine and a performance scratch night in the Hub.
All our activities are completely free to attend. We provide all the materials, plus refreshments! And the Gallery is an accessible, family-friendly venue.
