Explore texts in and related to The Ignorant Art School: Outside the Circle x Belfast exhibition in a new reading and discussion series, beginning Friday 31st July.
Hosted in our Hub by our Engagement Assistant Isabel Duffy, each session will focus on a different feminist text.
2-2:15: welcome, teas, texts handed out, quick introduction on the Author
2:15-2:30: text read aloud or silently as group decides
2:30-2:50: discussion on text
2:50-3:00: A.O.A: Any other actions, from discussion, any groups or signposting that can be shared and followed up on.

Friday 14 August: Griselda Pollock: Feminist Interventions in Art’s Histories (1987)
Friday 21 August: Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak: Can the Subaltern Speak? (1988)
Friday 28 August: Angela Dimitrakaki: Feminism, Art, Contradictions (2018)
Printed copies of all texts will be provided on the day.

Workshops take place in our Hub on the ground floor of the gallery, with step-free ramp access. There is a wheelchair-accessible bathroom on the ground floor.
