Do you have an interest in the arts? Maybe you’re an art student looking for experience in how galleries operate… Or a retired person who enjoys chatting to people… Or a regular visitor to arts venues who just wants to share the joy! If this sounds like you, then why not join our volunteer team?
As a GTG volunteer, you’ll play an important role in the day to day running of the gallery, especially in welcoming visitors and helping out in the Community Hub. You’ll have opportunities to gain experience invigilating exhibitions, assisting with creative workshops and activities, cataloguing archives, learning about safeguarding and working with the public, maintaining our facilities, helping with exhibition install and take-down, and much more.
Many of our volunteers and our visitors are artists themselves, so it’s a great place to build your creative network too!
We ask our volunteers to commit one day a week to the gallery.
