Join us on Late Night Art at Golden Thread Gallery for a one-night-only screening of animated shorts by rarewitch (aka @petalreaction). Jump down the rabbit-hole into a world of deep-sea beats, verbally aggressive lettuce, McSpicy literary critique, influencer drivel, fearless investigation of the biggest ick, and the most terrifyingly catchy cake-based song you will ever hear.

rarewitch combines biting Northern Ireland social commentary and surreal humour with wildly original animation and music. Don’t miss this chance to experience his work with a live audience, in the immersive setting of our Lower Gallery.

About the Artist

rarewitch is a visual artist, animator and musician based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Known for his prolific and subversive online animated shorts, his work combines anarchic social commentary with sharp satire and a distinctive visual style. His animations, which have developed a cult following online, reflect the themes explored in his fine art practice. These include immersive installations and interactive pieces that invite audiences to become performers in spontaneous acts of live satire.
